The best things in life are free, as they say. And in La Jolla Cove, San Diego, this is so true!
You get to see seals up close and personal in their natural habitat without paying a ticket. Well, I guess all you have to do is drive yourself down to La Jolla Cove, San Diego, which is around 2-3 hours from Los Angeles and its surrounding cities, and then walk down to the cove.
These pig dogs of the sea can kill you softly with so much cuteness – their big doe eyes, twitching whiskers and , but then they can be vicious especially when you see their razor sharp teeth and hear their grunts and growls.
So be careful and be sure not to come too close to the nursing seal moms and their pups – who snap and bite even at fellow seals.
Stay at the safe distance and don’t forget to take pictures of these cuties! And I will now be flooding this post with pictures of them.
Aren’t they such dolls? I could’ve spent all afternoon just staring at them…but then, we had more to explore in La Jolla Cove. More on that later 🙂
