Today’s burn / cut count: 3. One below my right pinky. Another above my left elbow. And the last one below my left pointy finger.
I don’t know if it is just my natural klutziness around the hot stove. But I do know that these battle scars are part of the kitchen territory. If professional chefs still gets cuts and burns, what more a humble home cook like myself?
Hence, I prepare myself for any (near) future injuries with my trusty wonder ointment: Neosporin. It speeds up the healing process of any cut and scar like it is nobody else’s business!
I almost cut off my left pointy finger’s tips a few months ago. I sliced off a part of it that made it looked like a talking shoe. I could practically have coffee and conversation with my cut! With the help of a few swipes of Neosporin, along with regular cleaning with hydrogen peroxide and added protection from adhesive bandages, the injured finger is back to normal.
What have you got in your pantry for kitchen first aid relief?
