The sun roasts my already golden tan Filipino skin and I wince in pain, moan and groan to The Husband, who looked dashing in his sunglasses by theway, as we powerwalked our way into the airconditioned comforts of the supermarket. “It’s soooooooooooooo HOT!” I complained with a pout. “It almost feels like Dubai” The Husband said in agreement.
Though others have said that we are approaching the end of summer, the temperatures and humidity levels surely don’t seem like it. But then again, one tree behind our apartment gave me a sign of hope with its lush green leaves speckled with a deep rusty orange.
Am I sure that the tree isn’t dying? Well, I’d like to think so. For that, I am excited that autumn is coming! It will be my very first, so I am giddy ecstatic for it, especially because of the pleasant cool weather. Anything else I should be excited about autumn?
