Can you handle it?

I can’t. I just can’t anymore…

I really can’t handle my saucepan and frying pans’ loose handles. After daily abuse from all this cooking, the handles have started to turn wobbly and come off from the pan’s base. Suddenly cooking for me is now such a delicate balancing act. Literally. I’m afraid that one fine day, a boiling saucepan of noodle soup would just flip, burn and curse my delicate pretty feet (which I think is one of the most beautiful parts of my entire body) into a lifetime sentence of monstrousness and discomfort. Ugh.

So why am I stuck with these  cookware pieces then?

Budget! Ahhhh…yes. The powerful limiting word that goes against all desires for quality kitchenware. Those Zwilling Henckels of this cooking world do not come cheap, of course. I’m sure most of you cooks out there do not have those lovely shiny, sturdy saucepans and frying pans in your kitchens. Or am I part of a minority who suffers from a case of bad cookware?

But then I can always save up for that dream saucepan and frying pan: stainless steel and / or cast iron with a solid, securely connected steel handle that can be used on a variety of kitchen hobs whether gas, electric or conduction and manages to stay cool during cooking. It would definitely be a great addition to my Joseph Joseph Nest9 Plus and my future blender. Plus one or two items to my dream kitchen list then.

Any generous donors out there? My birthday is coming up soon :-)

    I bought mine from Carrefour. LOL. It wasn’t costly but it wasn’t particularly cheap either. It’s still shiny. I hardly cook…

    Oh wait. I can’t cook. :-p
