This my word right now and I hope that it would continue to be my word every single day I sit down in front of my laptop and write a blogpost. I feel like I’m on a roll like the gambler who keeps on winning and winning, game after game after game. I enjoyed writing my posts about being a recipe rebel and the need for breathing space.
I know that this inspired writing state won’t last forever, though really, really, really – a gazillion times – wish it would. Writing is like life I guess. You get the ups, which is now…weeee! And, of course, the downs: Boo.
How does inspired writing feel? Well, just like what I imagined: I can sense each and every minute detail of the moment and get to translate it into words, which I don’t usually get to do. I feel like a painter filling up every corner of the blank canvass with splashed of color. Not just any random color, but colors that will help form an image in your mind.
But sometimes, my neurotic mind throws me off the inspired grid. I reread my blogposts and think over and over again: Should I have put more emphasis into the food rather than just weaving it into the story?
Errrr…I think I will have to put off my strategizing for a while and just enjoy the inspired creative process. Don’t you think?
