The recurring theme of the past two days has been “sleep all day”. Literally. But today, in particular, was worth waking up to and wasting some precious sickly energy on because of these books. These Filipino cuisine books were lovingly bought by my family and sent through the kindness of a friend, who came home to Manila and went back here in Dubai.
One of which is part of my Filipino cuisine booklist, Linamnam: Eating One’s Way Through the Philippines by Claude Tayag and Mary Ann Quioc.
The other book is the latest book from one of Filipino cuisine’s culinary icons, Nora Daza, which my papa threw in for good measure, to help me through my newly wed cooking woes as Nora Daza is hailed to be a newly wed wife’s bestfriend in the kitchen.
The other two were…uh…Hehehe! I am still thankful for these books, even though they weren’t exactly what I requested. I may find them useful too. Maybe there still are kind souls, who can scourge for copies of Doreen Fernandez books 🙂 Anyone?
Thank you parentals for taking the time out to buy these books! Thanks to Tin for willingly bringing them here!
Now back to curling up and recuperating and maybe reading up a page or two…Zzzzzzz.
