Recovering from my 4-hour sleep with a few hours of afternoon napping, I woke up with a painful tingle below my right shoulder, the kind you get when you’ve slept in an odd position. And so I tried to knead the pain away with a few drops of lavender oil, hoping to relax the muscles somehow. Fortunately, the self-massage seemed to have shooed some of the pain, but then it was replaced with an insane throbbing headache from the inside of my left eye up until the top of my left temple.
I made sure I drank my vertigo meds and my not-so-regular dose of vitamin C before I napped the headache away in the hope that all of the pain, both from the right arm and the left temple, would go away. I slept like a baby in our un-air conditioned flat this scorching desert afternoon, and no, it did not go away as I woke up more feverish than ever. I could not understand where all these came from because, as far as I know, I’ve been eating healthier these past few days with spinach and a daily glass of freshly squeezed blood orange juice.
I’ve never been as well rested in years despite the hectic housewife life, but it seems that my body is trying to tell me otherwise. What is wrong with you?!? Sigh.
I know I should be resting some more, but I hate to break my promise of putting out 365 blogposts this year. I won’t let this stupid pain stop me. Mind over matter. Please do forgive my verbal muck today. I must admit writing has been extra difficult to do lately. I am hoping to do better tomorrow.
Let me just curl up again in bed and rest…
Delirious about delicious,
