While I found myself in the spirit of Easter reflection, I stumbled upon the above bible verse. I was surprised (a very pleasant one at that) that God gave us the privilege to feast: eat and drink to reward ourselves after we work hard.
If God has given it, then Thank You dear Lord for this wonderful gift! No wonder why our family gathers every Easter for a feast of slow cooked kare-kare (oxtail and tripe peanut stew), salty glistening fatty pork adobo cubes with steaming fragrant white rice. Unfortunately, as I am away, I wasn’t able to enjoy this Easter feast that I’ve been getting year after year after year…I don’t have the courage yet to face the challenge of cooking kare-kare and pork abodo just yet. I still shrink with kitchen fear at the thought! Eeek!
But anyhoo, at least I have someone to celebrate Easter Sunday with…The Husband and some good friends 🙂 I wonder what we will have for our Easter feast later this evening? Hmmmm…
Happy Easter everyone!
Delirious about delicious,
