The Hunger Games movie is one of the most anticipated movies this 2012 as this book was, in my opinion, one of my best reads last year. I literally couldn’t put the book down! I even found myself reading the book/s while standing on the aisle of the elbow-to-elbow crowded public bus in Manila.
My friends and I booked our tickets in advance, of course. But before we took off to the cinema, we had to have some grub.
I don’t usually care for the popular chains. I actually shy away from them since I’d rather eat somewhere else more authentic and somewhere else that would give more value for money. But since my friend had vouchers for California Pizza Kitchen (buy one, take one pizza free), we just had to use them. And so we ordered a meat lover’s pizza and the shrimp scampi pizza along with a full portion of cobb salad. The meal was okay, nothing spectacular.
And the movie?
Oh boy. I think it surprisingly delivered as promised, keeping faithful to the book and still managing to keep me (and my friends) at the edge of our seats! It satisfied the my hunger for a great time this weekend, even more than the California Pizza Kitchen meal. I won’t spoil the movie for those who have not had the chance to catch it yet. I just assure you that you’d have a good time.
May the odds be ever in your favor.
Delirious about delicious,
Didi
P.S. Incidentally, The Husband sat on chair # 12 and I was on # 13
The odds were in our favor then!
