Change. Exciting isn’t it? As a neurotic planner type of person, I like the change that you expect, that you plan for with solutions for all possible scenarios. However, more often than not, we are caught off guard, not ready for change and we just have improvise, be creative and make the most out of what is already there. Or sometimes we think we are ready for change, but end up miserable because that change was not what we prepped up for.
So what’s the deal of change and potato chips?
I opened a bag of Lay’s Chili and Lemon flavored potato chips, expecting to be floored by the zest of lemon and the kick from the chili. But instead, I was just floored by something else: the unpleasant smell of those damn chips. Ugh. I couldn’t even get past the smell to try a chip (or I think it’s mainly because I already had my share of carbs for the day. Remember the diet rules?). I thought I was ready for it, but I can’t deal with it, so I just dropped the bag and stayed away…far away.
The best reaction to change you think? Well, I think that it is not running away from the stench, but really just knowing what you think what is best for you and not sticking with the sh*t. I wish dealing with change was easy as leaving the bag of chips alone. Can it possibly that easy?
Delirious about delicious,
